Fight against Hall Congestion
It has been the regular cry of the entire students of Abia state Polytechnic, Aba right from years back. Population totally exceeds hall capacity thereby causing unhealthy congestions during lecture hours.
Its has been noticed that present hall capacities does not in any way tally with the group counts of the various departments during classes which lead to most students hanging outside the class during lectures, students lucky enough to enter the class before the crowd comes and fortunately earns the back seat has no option than stand on the desks so as to get better views and ears during lectures.
Maybe here comes the Messiah we've all been praying for. New blocks of greater capacity are being set in place and to be completed soonest. Maybe, Just maybe, this is the remedy. Maybe we might end up saying "Well done Prof. Uche Ikonne".
View new buildings after the cut.

Strike Roars on Abia State Polytechnic
As the newly admitted students are close to celebrate their admission into the polytechnic, roaring sounds are heard from a distance on the institution.
Most staffs of the institution up until now lament and grin on none payment of salaries which should have been cleared before now.
Source gathered that greater portion of the staffs especially, Non-Academic Staffs are yet to receive heart warming payments which was agreed to be cleared few days after previous strike was xalled off.
Threatening rumor has it that the already called-off strike is likely to turn up again. Hence causing a double setback to the yearly academic calenders.
Government of the state has been pleaded with to clear up debts as a "worker should receive wage" nature rule.
